Intimate Wedding In The Heart Of Chinatown

Planning on getting married in downtown Victoria? This modern, exposed brick, downtown gallery makes for the perfect, intimate wedding venue.

In celebration of Pride Month, we wanted to share Alejandro and Hostion's gorgeous downtown mock-wedding!

The combined efforts of Fortune Gallery, Pop Up Wedding Victoria and some of Victoria's most up-and-coming local wedding vendors, created an evening they will not soon forget!

Fortune Gallery is the perfect indoor wedding venue located in the heart of Chinatown in downtown Victoria. Winter, summer, fall or spring, it doesn't matter what time of year you decide to have your wedding; this venue is indoors, sheltered from the rain and perfect during the colder months. In the summer, you can open the antique doors to let the natural light flood in. The vibrant atmosphere of this modern space ties in elegantly to its natural heritiage.

With a max capacity of 60 people, there is a small kitchen, a washroom, street parking out front, an upper loft area and a piano. Traditionally used as an art gallery, this space can be easily transformed into whatever wedding look and feel you envision. It's the definition of a "hidden gem" on the bustling streets of Chinatown in Victoria!

Alejandro and Hostion were beautifully styled by Outlooks For Men and their custom bow ties and pocked squares were made by local designer Chloe Prusa.

Gold rings, made by Emma Glover Design, were delicately placed onto each others fingers. Sarah Scott of Botanic Creative designed a non-traditional, simple ceremony installation made with fresh, tropical greenery and orchids. The splash of green against the brick wall turned out beautifully!

After the ceremony, the space can be transformed into the wedding reception. Outside, we had a fun surprise awaiting everyone — Good Boy Hotdogs, a mobile gourmet hotdog van, parked street side, had prepared a delicious hand-held dinner, urban food truck style! A custom Allison Shelrud wedding cake, adorned with fresh berries, was enjoyed in style with Toque Catering dining ware.

We at Pop Up Wedding Victoria are thrilled to have worked with Fortune Gallery, and host this gorgeous, gay wedding. No matter your race, gender, age, religious beliefs or economic status, you have should always celebrate your love! Pop Up Wedding Victoria provides a hassle free wedding day service, so all you have to do is show up and say, "I Do!" #lovewins
